“My daughter’s class, Messy Toddler Playgroup, is a sensory bin heaven. Jamie has created a yes space for her where I don’t have to worry about the mess she makes. And she is getting all the benefits sensory play provides: creative explorations, motor skill development, social interaction with peers, and bonding time with me, just to name a few. Plus, the sensory bins are above and beyond anything I would have ever created.

My son’s class, Creative Club, is a process art class. It focuses more on the act of creating than the final product. So the pressure is off, and he is free to explore the art mediums and let his creative juices flow. I love that the class is child-centered. He is so proud of the art pieces he brings home. And he loves that he gets some good quality time with his friends. Jamie emphasizes collaboration with his peer group, so it’s wonderful to see his friend relationships deepening.

“The Mural of the Story is really unlike anything we’ve ever done. I can’t even think of a comparable experience. It brought together three generations of our family, ranging in age from two to 70. For two hours, Jamie skillfully guided us through the process. We fingerpainted, wheelbarrow-raced, skated, dabbed, splattered….everything you can imagine. We used every color, texture, and type of paint. It was such a joy to watch my children brainstorm and collaborate. In a world where so many children’s activities are structured, outcome-driven, and performance-based, this was a rare opportunity to connect with no rules or instructions. It was two hours of pure joy and creativity. I could not recommend this experience (and studio) more highly.”
